The University of Michigan will play host to the 2007 NCAA Women's Golf Central Regional Championships, Thursday through Saturday, May 10-12, at the U-M Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich. The competitors will play 54 holes (18 each day) on the par-71, 6,116-yard U-M Golf Course.
Teams
The 2007 NCAA Women's Golf Central Regional Championships features 21 teams and three individuals. Teams (in seeding order) include: 1. Georgia, 2. Vanderbilt, 3. Southern Cal, 4. Tennessee, 5. Arizona, 6. Michigan State, 7. Texas Christian, 8. Baylor, 9. Arkansas, 10. Kent State, 11. Ohio State, 12. Northwestern, 13. Michigan, 14. Missouri, 15. Southern Methodist, 16. Maryland, 17. Indiana, 18. North Carolina-Wilmington, 19. Oral Roberts, 20. Southern Illinois, 21. St. Francis (Pa.). The individuals are: 1. Gerina Mendoza, Texas-El Paso; 2. Sara Wikstrom, Arkansas-Little Rock; 3. Noriko Nakasaki, Notre Dame.
Format
The 2007 NCAA Women's Golf Central Regional Championships will be 54 holes of championship play. Scoring will be five players, count the low four scores each round.
Schedule
The NCAA Central Regional will be 54 holes of stroke-play competition with 18 holes each day. First- and second-day pairings will be determined by seedings. The low eight teams at the Central Regional and the low two individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Championships, to be held May 22-25 at the LPGA International Golf Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Spectators
Admission is free for the Central Regional. Spectators must remain on cart paths or in the rough and approximately 15 yards from the players at all times (including practice areas). There may be no communication between players and spectators that could be deemed advice of any nature for the duration of the 18 holes. All institutional personnel, with the exception of the designated coach, are considered spectators. Ringers on electronic devices must be turned off. Spectators must refrain from smoking near the players. Carts will not be provided for spectators.
Spectator Parking
Spectator Parking is located in the Crisler Arena Lower Blue Lot on the north side of Stadium Blvd., across from the Michigan Golf Course clubhouse. There is a tunnel underneath Stadium Blvd. so spectators can walk directly to the clubhouse or to the No. 1 tee. Parking near the clubhouse will be restricted to teams, officials, working staff, media and anyone with a handicap permit. Appropriate signage will assist spectators to the Crisler Lower Blue Lot.

Directions to the Golf Course
From Detroit Metro Airport and points east: Take I-94 west to Ann Arbor-Saline Road (exit 175). Turn right and follow Ann Arbor-Saline Road as it turns into Main Street, going north for approximately 1 1/2 miles. Turn right onto Stadium Boulevard and make the second right into the Golf Course parking lot, on the opposite side of the street from Crisler Arena.
From Chicago and points west: Take I-94 east to Ann Arbor-Saline Road (exit 175). Turn left and follow Ann Arbor-Saline Road as it turns into Main Street, going north for approximately 1 1/2 miles. Turn right onto Stadium Boulevard and make the second right into the Golf Course parking lot, on the opposite side of the street from Crisler Arena.
From Toledo and points south: Take U.S. 23 north to I-94 west. Follow directions from Detroit Metro Airport.
