Continuing the Postseason Trend
With the spring season underway, Michigan will look to keep its postseason successes rolling. Michigan has had a team or individual representative receive invitation to an NCAA Regional in five of the last six years. In fact, this year's Maize and Blue will host the 2007 NCAA Central Regional May 10-12 at the U-M Golf Course. In addition to the NCAA success, the Wolverines have also finished among the top five at the Big Ten Championships in five of the last six years as well, including the program's best finish ever, closing as the runner-up in 2005. U-M has also had at least one player be named an All-Big Ten Golfer the last three straight years.
Closing Out the Regular Season Right, Adding 28th Trophy
With the team win at the Indiana Invitational on April 9-10, Michigan now has 28 total team titles in the history of the program. Of those 28 titles, 22 have come under U-M coach Kathy Teichert. The first-place trophy at the Indiana Invitational marks the second team victory this season after the Maize and Blue won its own Wolverine Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 last fall. Michigan has won at least one tournament in each of the last four seasons, with nine total during that span -- two (2003-04), four (2004-05), one (2005-06) and two (2006-07).
Continuing to Roll
Michigan stayed in team title hunt throughout the 10 tournaments in the regular season, as the Wolverines posted two team titles and six top five finishes. The Maize and Blue won its own Wolverine Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 and the Indiana Invitational on April 9-10, finished third at the Red Rocks Invitational on March 3-4, finished fourth at the Lady Northern Invitational (Sept. 16-17) and fifth at the Central District Classic (Feb. 19-20) and the Landfall Tradition (Oct 27-29). As a team, the Wolverines have averaged 304.75 per round as a team, which currently ranks third all-time in the U-M record books.
Home Cookin' ... Wolverines Add the Hardware Again
Michigan won its fourth Wolverine Invitational team title in the last five years. The title gave the Wolverine program its eighth trophy in 23 events at the U-M Golf Course, putting it atop the record book for most team titles in the Ann Arbor event. With Brianna Broderick's medalist honor, a Michigan player has won the individual title at the Wolverine Invitational four times in the last eight events held at the U-M Golf Course.
Sub 300s Lead to Successes
With team totals of 298, 293 and a season-low 291 at the Mountain View Challenge on March 24-25, Michigan posted its first 54-hole tournament total with three straight rounds under 300.The last time the Wolverines did that was two seasons ago during the 2004 Lady Northern Invitational (Sept. 11-12) at the U-M Golf Course, when U-M posted and 881 total (294-291-296).
Posting the Season Best Tally
Michigan's third-round team tally of 291 at the Mountain View Challenge on March 24-25 was a season-low for the Wolverines. The total topped the 293 the Maize and Blue had in the second round of the Mountain View Challenge. Overall, the Wolverines are averaging 304.75 per round as a team, which ranks third all-time at U-M.

Broderick and Stinson have yet to miss a tournament in their entire career. In fact, the duo has started in all 45 of those tournaments. Former Wolverine Laura Olin holds the U-M record for consecutive tournaments, playing in 50 straight during her career.
