Michigan coach Kathy Teichert
On the comeback for the tournament win ..."I am really happy about how we played today. For them to come back and shoot a 295 was really a testament to how they were playing today. They really pulled through when they had too. They never gave up. This team is very talented from top to bottom. Did we like being in the position we were in after the first round no. But we put ourselves there and then we needed to dig ourselves out of it. They can really turn it on when they need to. This final round really showed their ability to comeback."
On if this team is peaking at the right time ... "This was perfect timing. We have Big Ten Championships coming up and this tournament really shows we are able to put some great scores on the board. We threw out a 75 today and a lot of teams were just trying to get a 75. So, this is a huge confidence builder and we hope to take that into the Big Ten Championships."
On the play of Ashley Bauer ... "This spring she has played really well. It has been very nice to see. She adds a lot of balance. She had added another dimension to this team."
On where the Wolverines go from here ... "To the Big Ten Championships! We traditionally have played well there (MSU's Forest Akers). It is great for me to go back to my neck of the woods and to be able to play a good golf course ... a course we have had a lot of successes at. It is going to be fun. We are looking forward to it. The timing of it is just perfect. We will be done with finals so the girl's will be able to relax and really enjoy playing at the conference championships."
Senior Ali Stinson
On winning the Indiana Invitational boosting the Wolverines confidence ... "We have always had that confidence to be able to go out and shoot low numbers. This weekend we knew were in the position to win it. We talked about it and went out there and did what we could to come away with the win. So it is a definite help to our confidence going into Big Tens."
On her overall tournament ... "It was nice to be consistent again. I didn't hit the ball that well, but I did manage to get the ball in the hole. So, it was nice to be able to get up and down. All the work I put into my short game really has paid off."
Freshman Ashley Bauer
On her tournament weekend ... "This weekend I played pretty well. There is always room for improvement, but I was happy. With the way the weather was, everyone was in the same position as I was, but we all battled through it. It was a big stepping stone for us going into the Big Ten Championships. For me, to be able to play well here was a confidence booster going to Big Tens."
On the team's ability to be able to come back in the final round ... "Last night we talked about it at dinner. We knew we had it in us to be able to come back. None of us were willing to give up. We knew that the position we were in gave us a great chance to come back and win the tournament. I think that being able to practice in some of the same weather conditions really helped us. It got us ready. We have really good players on this team. They want to win. This morning we just believed we could do it. In the end everything just worked out to our advantage."

Originally scheduled for 54-holes, the Indiana Invitational was reduced to 36 holes due to cold weather conditions on the first day of play. It is the first 36-hole tournament for the Wolverines since the Red Rocks Invitational (March 3-4), where the Maize and Blue closed with a third place team finish.
With the team win at the Indiana Invitational, Michigan now has 28 total team titles in the history of the program. Of those 28 titles, 22 have come under U-M coach Kathy Teichert.
The first-place trophy at the Indiana Invitational marks the second team victory this season after the Maize and Blue won its own Wolverine Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) last fall.

Ashley Bauer tied for fourth place individually at the Indiana Invitational giving her back-to-back top five finishes in her last two tournaments. She was fifth two weeks ago at the Mountain View Challenge. She has now finished as the top Wolverine in the last three tournaments.

Ali Stinson posted her third top-10 finish of the season after tying for sixth at the Indiana Invitational. Stinson's other two top-10s were at the Lady Northern Invitational (tie-5th) and the Landfall Tradition (tie-8th).

By playing in the Indiana Invitational, Brianna Broderick and Ali Stinson have played in 45th straight tournaments for U-M. Broderick and Stinson have yet to miss a tournament in their entire career. In fact, the duo has started in all 45 of those tournaments. Former Wolverine Laura Olin holds the U-M record for consecutive tournaments, playing in 50 straight during her career.
