Webster Earns All-America at NCAA Championships

Senior/junior Nicole Edwards (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Vincent Massey) ran with Webster in the lead pack until the pack spread out at the 4,000-meter mark. Webster coasted the rest of the way to finish 59th with a time of 21:25.
Michigan's three other scoring performances included senior Lisa Uible (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill), who stayed pace with Edwards most of the race to finish 87th (21.43). Freshman Danielle Tauro (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) and junior/sophomore Geena Gall (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) came in 141st (22:12) and 150th (22:16), respectively, to wrap the scoring for Michigan.
All of Michigan's harriers wore black ribbons on thier tops in respect to the passing of fellow student/track and field teammate Joi Smith, who passed away Saturday (Nov. 17) after fighting a courageous nine-month battle of cancer.
