Michigan Head Coach Steve Burns
On the win... "More than anything, it's great to see when things transfer from the practice field to the game field. One of the things we talked about to the guys was doing the unglamorous part of their job well. Bonnell was rewarded with two goals by doing just that."
On Jarun getting his first goal ... "He is a crowd favorite, a favorite on the team, I couldn't be happier for him. He deserves every minute he gets and certainly that goal."
On the team's attitude going into the game... "I think it was an attitude about 'walking the walk.' In the last four games prior to this, there were a lot of guys who spoke about feelings and now it was time to show how we could put that in play against a team that was scrappy and dangerous and posed some problems for us on the field."
On the upcoming match with Northwestern... "They are a great team. They are deserving of their national ranking. We have a lot of respect for them. They pose many challenges for us. It's not going to be a high-scoring affair where you sit on the edge of your seat watching it."
Junior Midfielder Nader Jarun
On starting last game... "It was a surprise for me. At the beginning of the season, I was fighting an injury. I wasn't really playing my game in practice or during the games. I ended up having to take to weeks off in the boot and when I came back I was able to work with the players like I was during the summer. It was as surprise to get the start but I am just happy to be 100 percent now. Hopefully it continues."
On how it feels to know he earned the start... "It feels incredible. All you can do is extra work on the side and get healthy in the training room and hope for opportunities."
