Ofili Hurdles to NCAA Regional Qualifying Time at Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team concluded the final day of the Drake Relays on Saturday (April 29) in Drake Stadium with an NCAA regional qualifying mark in the 100-meter hurdles and a third-place finish in the 4x1,600-meter relay.
The Wolverines' bright spot of the day was freshman Tiffany Ofili (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ypsilanti) as she earned her second NCAA regional qualifying standard in the 100-meter hurdles with a fourth-place time of 13.88. Ofili was 0.30 seconds behind winner Tiffany Johnson of Iowa and 0.16 seconds shy of her personal best.
The Maize and Blue took third in the 4x1,600m relay with a time of 19:39.03. Freshman Geena Gall (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) took the leadoff leg, followed by sophomore Alyson Kohlmeier (Sarnia, Ontario/St. Patrick's), junior Erin Webster (Dearborn, Mich./Divine Child) and sophomore Nicole Edwards (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Vincent Massey).
The Wolverines come back to Ann Arbor to host their only outdoor home meet of the season, the Len Paddock Invitational, and celebrate the 100th year of Ferry Field on Friday and Saturday (May 5-6).
