Michigan coach Kathy Teichert
On the Wolverines' play at the Landfall Tradition ... "There is no question about it, I am very pleased with the way that we played this weekend. After the way things ended up at the Mercedes to come out and lead the tournament after the first round show a lot about these players. It really shows the heart in our players and in their games. Looking back on it (Mercedes), we had a bad tournament, but we knew that we were going to rebound and do whatever it took to make that happen. We played well this weekend. We played within ourselves. We got off to a great start and over the past we weeks we have talked about what it means to carry a lead. We slipped off that pace over the last few weeks, but today they showed a lot of character to really play well and really showed what we can do to finish it out. It was just a good feeling to finish so well. We were very solid today."
On the play of Brianna Broderick this fall season ... "She is displaying such an enormous amount of confidence right now in herself and in her game. There is no question that she feels she needs to and has to play well. But more importantly she has the game to do it and that is what is really setting her apart. She has a lot of shots in her bag."
On if the fall season has shaped up the way she envisioned it ... "I am pleased with where we are. We have really showed what this team is made up of and what we are capable of. Can our scores be a little lower Yes. Can we have had some better results Sure. But overall I cannot help and be please with where we are at. We still have at times only four players play well, it would be great to see all five players playing well. Because we know that they can but at different times each of them has shined. This team just keeps working harder and harder and that work is paying off."

On her confidence level ... "It's really high actually. I just go into each tournament thinking I am going to perform really well."
On how she has continued to play well ... "As the tournaments continue to go on, I have started to strike the ball a lot better. I am just continuing to work really hard and that is paying off. Patience has been a big key for me right now."
On the team's performance this weekend after it's performance at the Mercedes ..."Our team is very capable of many things. After the Tennessee tournament we just kind of forgot about it and came out shooting a great score on Friday. We slipped up on Saturday, but we rebounded today and that shows how much ability that we have. When we have to pick it up we pick it up."

For the fourth straight tournament this season, Brianna Broderick led the Wolverines and finished among the top five individually. This weekend, she tied for third at the Landfall Tradition. Two weeks earlier she tied for fifth at the Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship (Oct. 13-15). To kick off the 2006-07 season, she tied for runner-up at the Lady Northern Invitational (Sept. 16-17) and followed with her second career medalist honor at the Wolverine Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1).
With her tie for eighth place, Ali Stinson record her second top 10 of the season and her third top 15 performance of the four fall tournaments.
With her first round 77 at the Landfall Tradition, Andrea Ratigan posted a career-best single round tally, topping the 78 she carded in the second round of Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship (Oct. 13-15). She then tied that exact mark again in the final round posting her second 77 of the tournament, which helped her to a career-best 234 54-hole tournament total.
Brianna Broderick, Ali Stinson, Lindsay Davis and Ashley Bauer are the only Wolverines to have started all four tournaments this season. Andrea Ratigan has started the last three tournaments for the Maize and Blue.
By playing in the Landfall Tradition, Brianna Broderick and Ali Stinson played in their 39th straight tournaments for the Maize and Blue. The duo has yet to miss a tournament in their entire career. In fact the duo has also started all 39 of those tournaments. Former Wolverine Laura Olin holds the U-M record for consecutive tournaments, playing in 50 straight in her career.
