2005-06 IHM at Northern Michigan -- Postgame Notes

 Michigan swept NMU in Marquette for the first time. In six previous series at Northern Michigan, the Wolverines did no better than getting a win and a tie.
 Michigan has won a season-best five straight games dating back to Oct. 29 at Alaska Fairbanks. U-M then swept Notre Dame (Nov. 4-5) before taking two at NMU this weekend.
 Michigan scored a power-play goal for the 11th consecutive game to start the season. U-M was 1-for-9 on the power play tonight.
 The Wolverines vaulted into first place in the CCHA standings thanks to their win over NMU and Miami's loss at Lake Superior State. U-M has 11 points with a 5-1-1 record. Miami dropped to second place with 10 points and a line of 5-1-0.
 Jack Johnson pushed his career-best point streak to five games with a goal tonight. He has two goals and six assists during the stretch.
 Kevin Porter scored U-M's first shorthanded goal of the season. The shorthanded tally was also the first of Porter's career.
 Brandon Naurato scored twice for his first career multi-goal and multi-point game. The game-winning tally in overtime was also a first.
 Tim Miller assisted on both Naurato goals for his first multi-assist and multi-point effort.
 T.J. Hensick extended his point streak to five games with an assist. He has four goals and five assists over the span. His four-game goal streak came to an end.
 Jason Dest earned his first point of the year with an assist on Naurato's first goal. It was Dest's first point since March 18, 2005, vs. Alaska Fairbanks in the CCHA Super Six semifinals.
