Michigan Wraps Up Competition at Midwest Regional

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team concluded play at the 2005 Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional Championships Sunday (Oct. 23), as senior Debra Streifler (Highland Park, Ill./Highland Park HS) suffered a third-round defeat in the 64-player main singles draw.
Streifler was unable to advance to the quarterfinals, dropping a 6-1, 6-3 decision to No. 86-ranked Nischella Reddy of Minnesota.
The Wolverines will turn their attention to the final events of the 2005 fall season: the ITA National Indoor Championships (Nov. 3-6) in Columbus, Ohio, and the Thunderbird Invitational (Nov. 4-6) in Tempe, Ariz.
