Q U O T E S
U-M Head Coach Mike McGuire
On Lisa Canty's first-place finish ... "Lisa had an excellent preseason camp and showed her ability today. We're still trying to decide on what to do with her this season, but she had a great performance today."
On the slow times posted by all the runners ... "This is a difficult course to run, particularly in the conditions we faced today. It has a lot of turns and the footing was slow, but I'm pleased with our performances."
On next week's Indiana State Invitational ... "Today wasn't a scoring event but we will bring our best 12 runners to Terre Haute. Next week will be a whole different scenario and we're looking forward to it. The University of Arkansas (nationally ranked) was recently invited to participate so it will be a good early season test for us."
