Laury Shares Conference Gymnast of the Week Award

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan sophomore Justin Laury (Marietta, Ga./McEachern HS) was named Big Ten Conference male co-Gymnast of the Week today (Wednesday, Feb. 25) for his performance in last weekend's meet at Oklahoma with Minnesota and Nebraska.

Laury captured the all-around title with a 55.15 total, breaking Michigan's school record previously held by Daniel Diaz-Luong (1999-2002), who scored 54.975 during the 2002 NCAA Championships. Contributing to Laury's score were third-place finishes on still rings (9.50) and pommel horse (9.45) and a fourth-place finish on floor exercise (9.30).
The No. 6-ranked Wolverines return to action next Saturday (March 6), facing Big Ten Conference rival University of Iowa at 7 p.m. CST in Iowa City.
