Q U O T E S
Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On his overall thoughts on the game ... "I think a lot of guys stepped up and had good games. You want to have a good first period and I think we did but it didn't show up on the scoreboard. You knew Michigan Tech would come back and perhaps played they had their best period all year in the second period. They came back with a strong second period. The third period was anyone's game.
"The disputed goal was a disputed goal. One way or another it counted. We had to handle that and get the next goal."
On what he liked about tonight's game ... "As a coach you're always looking at things you don't like, but there were things we did like. I thought we moved the puck well, created some scoring chances, got a lot of pucks at the net and handled the puck better and passed it better than I thought we would given the fact that we hadn't played a game in three weeks. That was the good stuff. On the negative side, we probably gave up too many scoring chances. You knew Chris Conner was as good as a player there was in the game tonight and he just had too many good scoring chances for him not to score. He's a dangerous player."
U-M Senior Forward Jason Ryznar
On his assist on U-M's second goal ... "We had a rush going up ice and I was going to shoot it but a guy started hooking me so I just spun around and threw it at the cage. I couldn't see him (Charlie Henderson) but I knew he was there. We work on three-on-two rushes all the time and one guy goes to the net and the third guy lags back in the slot so I kind of figured somebody would be there in position for it."
