Michigan Ranked Seventh in Preseason Coaches Poll

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's gymnastics team is ranked seventh in the 2005 GymInfo Preseason Coaches Poll.
A total of six Big Ten Conference squads are ranked in the top 12 nationally. Illinois, which won the Big Ten title last season, received the highest ranking among Conference schools with a No. 2 showing. Reigning national champion Penn State claimed the No. 3 ranking, while Ohio State garnered the No. 4 spot. Michigan was ranked No. 7, with No. 8 Iowa and No. 9 Minnesota rounding out the top 10.
The Wolverines begin the 2005 season with the annual Maize and Blue Intrasquad on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. in Cliff Keen Arena.
