EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis team dropped its sixth straight match Wednesday night (April 2), falling to Michigan State 5-2 at MSUs Indoor Tennis Facility. The Wolverines (5-10, 0-5 Big Ten), who remain winless in conference play, managed only two victories in singles action after surrendering a closely fought doubles point to begin the match.
The Spartans (11-9, 2-3 Big Ten) got off to a fast start, as Eric Simonton and Cameron Marshall teamed up for an 8-4 win over senior Chris Rolf (Midland, Mich./Midland HS) and sophomore Michael Rubin (Canton, Ohio/Canton Central Catholic HS) at No. 1.
