U-M Head Coach Steve Burns
On taking it to the Badgers ... "I think this was a good sign of our maturity in terms of recognizing how to get after a team. They were like a fighter who was a little woozy there and we really went after them. That is just a sign of our maturity."
On the team record-tying 11th win ... "The numbers are certainly good, but I'm more concerned with how we play. I think we keep taking significant steps forward and I think this was a big step with the way our defense played. They're coming together really nicely. We are informed as a team and with three difficult opponents coming up, that is great."
On rebounding from early deficits ... "Again, you have to look at the maturity level of our team and the fact that we started the game with four seniors and are in the fourth year of the cycle. Certainly we don't want to go down early, but it is a team that recognizes that it is a 90-minute game and the game isn't over if you're down a goal early."
Senior Tri-Captain Kevin Taylor
On taking penalty kicks ... "I get nervous every time I step up there. After a while, you just think if you miss it, you miss it. But you don't want to do that, you know"
On if he varied his approach for his second penalty kick ... "Usually you pick a side and stick with it, but on the first one I saw the goalie move early one way so I went to the other side on the next one."
On the two-win weekend ... "It was excellent. Everyone played great. This is probably the best we've played through a weekend. We got two Big Ten wins."
Senior Tri-Captain Mike White
On if this weekend propels the team into the stretch run ... "It is nice heading into the end of the season. We're peaking at the right time. We've got some momentum heading into next weekend. We're 3-1 in the Big Ten. We picked up a couple of big wins this weekend and next weekend we have a tough road schedule with Akron and Penn State, so it is back to work tomorrow. We're looking pretty solid right now."
On scoring in his final home game ... "It was pretty cool. It's not like it was a 1-0 game, so that would have been sweeter, but it was really nice to close it out at home and have a little fun."
