Wolverines Sign Delicata and Exon to Letters of Intent

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's tennis coach Bitsy Ritt announced today (Thursday, Nov. 21) the signing of Kara Delicata (LaSalle, Ontario/Sandwich Secondary HS) and Elizabeth Exon (Irvine, Calif./Woodbridge HS) to National Letters of Intent for the 2003-04 academic year.
"I am pleased that Kara Delicata and Elizabeth Exon will join our program next year," said Ritt. "They are both great competitors who will make a significant contribution to the program."
The Wolverines will graduate two seniors -- Jen Duprez (Westhampton, N.Y./Westhampton Beach HS) and Joanne Musgrove (LaSalle, Ontario/Sandwich Secondary HS) -- after the 2002-03 season.

Third nationally under 16's
Ninth nationally under 18's
Won Canadian national title in doubles
Finished third in 2002 Copper Bowl
2002 Texas Open champion in both singles and doubles (U18)
Member of Junior Team Canada
Competed in the World Youth Cup team competition in El Salvador, placing second, and earned a trip to the Czech Republic to compete with the top countries in each section of the world
Finalist at the Prince Cup in Florida (U16) -- defeated Su Wei Tsieh, ranked No. 5 in ITF, in the semifinals
