"We're excited about Brianna and Ali joining our program," said coach Kathy Teichert. "We feel both will bring a strong academic presence as well as tremendous competitive spirit to our program. We are looking forward to both having solid careers at Michigan."
Broderick was a three-time Missouri high school state champion, winning three consecutive titles from 2000 to 2002. She also was a three-time MSHSAA all-state first team selection (2000, '01, '02) and a two-time Kansas City Female Metro Player of the Year (2001, '02). Broderick was the district medalist twice (2001, '02), had two district runner-up finishes (1999, 2000) and twice competed in the United States Girls Junior Championship (2001, '02). The National Honor Society member holds the Richmond High School scoring records for nine holes (34) and 18 holes (68).
Stinson was a member of the 2002 Canadian National Junior championship team and was the medalist runner-up. She was the 2002 District 3 Championship medalist and 2002 British Columbia Junior Ladies Championship co-medalist. Stinson was part of British Columbia's team that finished fifth at the 2002 Junior Girls America's Cup, where she tied for sixth. She competed at the 2002 World Junior Championship and in the qualifier of the 2002 CJGA World Cup.
The Wolverines lose two seniors after the 2002-03 season in All-Big Ten Conference first teamer Kim Benedict (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Adams HS) and Stephanie Stasik (Lubbock, Texas/Coronado HS).
