Two Women's Tennis Recruits Sign with Wolverines

DaCosta, a four-year honor roll student and member of National Honor Society, compiled a 129-1 career high school record. She is a three-time Ohio Division I singles champion, losing her only match in the finals her sophomore year. The state Player of the Year as a senior, DaCosta was also a district track champion in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meter relay.
Rutherford is the No. 1 singles player in Alberta, Canada, and is the reigning singles and doubles champion at the Under-18 ITF Championships in Vancouver, B.C. Ranked ninth nationally for girls 18 and under, Rutherford was a quarterfinalist in singles and doubles at the Under-18 Outdoor Canadian Nationals.
