Michigan Among 12 Teams Selected for NCAA Meet

The year's championships feature a national qualifiers on Thursday (April 5), team and all-around finals on Friday (April 6) and individual finals on Saturday (April 7). This marks the second year of the national qualifying meet, which will determine the team and individual fields for the finals.
Invited to the national qualifier are the nation's top 12 teams, the best 12 all-around competitors not on those teams, and the top 12 on each event not already qualified on a team or as an all-around competitor. The 12 teams have been seeded into two six-team sessions for Thursday's competition, with second-seeded Michigan among the group that will compete at 7 p.m. The first group will perform at 1 p.m.

The top three teams, top three all-arounders not on a qualifying team and the top three specialists not already qualified on a team or as an all-around competitor from each session advance to the team and all-around finals on Friday at 7 p.m. The top individuals on each event during Friday's competition advance to the individual event championships on Saturday at 7 p.m.
All-session tickets are $32 for adults and $20 for students. Tickets for the national qualifier are $8 for adults and $5 for students, and all other single-session tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Tickets are available from the Ohio State University ticket office at 1-800-GO-BUCKS.
Michigan, the 2001 Big Ten Conference runner-up, finished second in the nation in 2000 after winning the NCAA title in 1999.
