Kentucky Ends Michigan's Season-Opening Win Streak

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis had its three-match winning streak to start the year halted today (Friday, Feb. 9), losing 7-0 to No. 34-ranked University of Kentucky at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. The Wildcats (3-2) ended a two-match losing streak by sweeping all six singles matches and taking the doubles point against the Wolverines (3-1).
Michigan looks to rebound from the loss when the Wolverines face No. 17-ranked Tennessee Sunday (Feb. 11, noon) at the Goodfriend Tennis Center in Knoxville, Tenn. U-M looks for its first-ever win against the Lady Volunteers in five tries.
