Goodwin has been a mainstay on the offensive line as the only returning starter from last year's squad that graduated four NFL rookie starters and U-M's all-time leading rusher, Anthony Thomas. Goodwin has played both guard positions, center and left tackle for the Wolverines during his career, playing in 28 contests and starting 19 of them. A Football News All-America second team member, he was named to the All-Big Ten first team by the media and to the second team by the coaches.
Walker caught a Michigan school-record 81 passes for 1,043 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2001 and was awarded the Bo Schembechler Award as U-M's Most Valuable Player. He also holds the school record for most career receptions with 171 and most consecutive games with at least one catch (35), and he twice had a school-record 15 receptions in a game (Washington and Ohio State). Walker was previously named to the AFCA All-America team and was a first team All-Big Ten pick.
The All-America trio will lead the No. 17-ranked Wolverines (8-3) against No. 8 Tennessee (10-2) in the Capital One Florida Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2002, in Orlando, Fla. Game time is 1 p.m. EST on ABC Sports.
