Wolverines Drop Exhibition Relay Meet at Harvard

BOSTON, Mass. -- Despite winning 11 out of 12 events, the University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team fell to Harvard 246-238 in an exhibition relay meet on Friday evening (Oct. 26) at Blodgett Pool.
Twelve Wolverine swimmers competed on winning relay teams while 10 members of the team were victorious on multiple occasions. Leading the way for the Maize and Blue were sophomores Annie Weilbacher (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales HS), Sara Johnson (West Bloomfield, Mich./Lahser HS) and Lori Eberwein (Maple Glenn, Pa./Upper Dublin HS), who each competed on four winning relay teams.
Swimmers who were on teams that won three relays were sophomore Emily-Clare Fenn (Westport, Conn./Freeport HS), sophomore Kelli Stein (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Waterson HS), junior Erin Abbey (Cleveland, Ohio/Mayfield HS), freshman Amy McCullough (West Bloomfield, Mich/Mercy HS), and junior Laura Kaznecki (Wolverine Lake, Mich./Wolverine Lake HS).
The diving team of sophomore Tealin Kelemen (Riverton, N.J./Moorestown Friends School) and senior Lindsey McElroy (Columbia, Mo./Oakland Mills HS) combined to win both the one- and three-meter diving events.
Michigan travels to Providence, R.I., to face Brown University in another exhibition meet Saturday (Oct. 27) at noon.
