"We are extremely excited and pleased to represent the Big Ten Conference in the 2001 Citrus Bowl," said U-M Athletic Director Bill Martin. "This is a great opportunity for our alumni, fans and faculty to support our football program in Florida. We encourage our fans to order tickets through the U-M Ticket Office to ensure seating with Michigan family and friends. With a full two-week advantage until a SEC team is chosen, we want to provide proper representation for our program and make the Citrus Bowl a home field advantage for the Wolverines."
U-M will head into postseason bowl competition for the 26th consecutive year and 31st overall. The Wolverines are second only to Nebraska in consecutive appearances and look to win their fourth consecutive bowl game for just the second time in the history of the program and for the first time in consecutive years (won the 1902, 1948, 1951 and 1965 Rose Bowls).
Tickets for the Citrus Bowl are $65 and can be obtained by calling the University of Michigan Athletic Ticket Office at (734) 764-0247, or may be purchased online at U-M Ticket Office site.
The U-M Alumni Association Official Tour package is also available by calling (734) 763-6676 or by accessing the web site: www.michiganbowltours.com.
