Henson was 14-for-25 passing for 303 yards and had a part in all four of Michigan's offensive touchdowns in the 38-26 win with three touchdown passes and one rushing score. With Michigan trailing 9-0 in the first five minutes of the game, Henson led Michigan to a 14-9 first quarter lead with touchdown passes to senior tailback Anthony Thomas (Winnfield, La./Winnfield HS) and wide receiver David Terrell (Richmond, Va./Huguenot HS) just 3:02 apart. The pass to Thomas covered 70 yards, the longest TD pass play of the season for the Wolverines, and it was the first career receiving touchdown for Thomas. Henson's three TD passes at OSU were the most against the Buckeyes by a Wolverine since Jim Harbaugh in 1985.
Henson has completed 131-of-217 passes (60.4 pct.) this season for 1,852 yards and posted a Big Ten Conference-best 150.7 pass efficiency rating. He has thrown 16 touchdown passes and just four interceptions in his eight games (seven starts). Henson has thrown for more than 300 yards twice and passed for more than 200 yards six times in his seven starts.
Epstein, who handles the punting, placekicking and kickoff duties for the Wolverines, scored eight points on a 25-yard field goal and five PATs in the win over Ohio State. Epstein pounded six punts for 230 yards with a game-high 55-yarder, dropped three of his punts inside the 20-yard line and collected a touchback on his final kickoff of the afternoon, leaving the Buckeyes 80 yards to go with 1:18 left in the game.
For the season, Epstein is averaging 40.2 yards a punt and has placed a career-best 18 punts inside the 20-yard line. He pushed his scoring total to a career-best 43 points, third on the team.
The Wolverines (8-3, 6-2 Big Ten) have finished the regular season and are ranked 16th in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls.
