Wagner Named U-M Women's Golf Assistant Coach

From 1996-99 Wagner was the golf professional at the Walton Golf Range in Pontiac, Mich., where she organized the Pontiac Junior Golf Program. Also in 1996, she was the golf professional at the Railside Golf Club in Byron Center, Mich., instructing adults and organizing the junior golf program for the club members. From 1992-96, Wagner served as the golf professional at the Maple Hill Golf Course in Grandville, Mich., where she coordinated all league events as well as personal and corporate golf outings. She helped with the organization and instruction of the junior golf program.
During the summer of 2000, Wagner finished fourth at the Michigan Women's Open Championship at the Polo Fields Golf and Country Club in Ann Arbor. She also won the Red Holman Pro-Am tournament with a one-under-par 73 at Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville, Mich.
A 1991 graduate of Ferris State University with a business management degree, Wagner was a four-year letterwinner, three-year captain and two-time MVP on the softball team. In addition to softball, she played for the basketball and racquetball programs at Ferris.
