On the game ... "We needed this game because we need some enthusiasm. I think we're beginning to play the way we're capable of playing. We made some strides defensively. I feel good about our mental toughness going into the next game."
On the team's overall attitude ... "You go into these games with the idea that everyone wants to play well. Last week we played poorly and won, but the standard is you want to play well and win and we did that today."
On confidence going into next week's game at Penn State ... "When you play poorly and win, it doesn't do anything for your confidence. When you play well and win, you can fight the complacency that sometimes comes with that. Going into the Penn State game, we needed to play well to feel good about where we're at and we'll have to play our best game to win."
Quarterback Tom Brady
On being more relaxed ... "I just approached the game the same way if I'm in for just a play, a series or the whole game. I just try to do my best."
On this game vs. the last two weeks ... "I'm glad this game wasn't close. A lot of guys got to play. A-Train (running back Anthony Thomas) didn't have to carry the load this game and I thought the defense played a great game."
On Northwestern's defense ... "They took away the outside stuff so we worked the middle, and when they took the middle away, we worked outside. I was just looking for the open guy."
On Penn State's attitude after its loss today ... "I'm not sure. They have good players and a great coach who I'm sure will have them fired up for next week. Happy Valley is not an easy place to play in and we will need a good week of practice to get ready for them."
Wide Receiver/Defensive Back David Terrell
On playing both ways ... "On offense, you've got to be more composed, you have to react to what the defense is giving you, and on defense you're like a wild man. You're more aggressive. I like playing either side."
On his impact on both sides ... "I want to make an impact, and do whatever it takes to win. Everyone on the team has some sort of impact, be it the kicker, holder, whoever."
On the difficulty of the game ... "No game is easy. I get butterflies for any game, be it Pop Warner or a Big Ten game. I just try to execute well and keep my head in the game."
Head Coach Randy Walker
On his team's performance ... "I found nothing whatsoever positive in our performance today. I'm disappointed and surprised. Today was no resemblance of a positive football team. I'm upset about the way we played. It's been a long time since I felt this way about a football team."
On how his team stacked up against Michigan ... "We were out-matched physically. They had four and five wide receivers that were able to make plays and give us problems."
Linebacker Napoleon Harris
On the game overall ... "At the start, our intensity level was not where it should be. Michigan came out fired up and took the game to us."
On Michigan's offense ... "It wasn't the running game or the passing individually that hurt us. They did a good job keeping us off balance."
Quarterback Zak Kustok
On the game in general ... "They played real well. They came after us for four quarters. All good teams have killer instincts and they showed it today."
On Michigan's late field goal ... I'm sure they had their own reasons for it. Our coaches wouldn't do it. I'm not going to criticize their coaches. You'd like to think with a 30-point lead another score wouldn't be necessary."
