Traci Conrad earned Big Ten yearly honors in three of her four seasons, winning Freshman of the Year (1996) before capping her career with back-to-back Player of the Year awards (1998, '99). She was the first player to earn two Big Ten batting titles (1998, '99) and set a league record in career hits (345). The first baseman earned All-America citations in each of her final three seasons and was named a 1999 Honda Award finalist. She ended her collegiate career with Michigan's all-time records in six offensive categories, including hits, games played (263), runs (223) and batting average (.389).
A sport management major, Conrad twice earned GTE Academic All-America nods (1998, '99) and is the only U-M player to earn multiple All-America honors in both softball and academics. Conrad was a three-time Academic All-Region first team selection (1997-99) and earned Academic All-Big Ten accolades each of her final three seasons.
