Archie Hahn, who earned his Michigan law degree in 1904, was one of the top sprinters in world in the early 20th century, winning four Olympic gold medals. Nicknamed “The Milwaukee Meteor,” Hahn dominated the St. Louis Olympic games of 1904 by sweeping the 60, 100 and 200-meter events. At the Athens games in 1906, Hahn defended his 100-meter title. Archie was also the National AAU sprint champion three times. Later, Hahn coached the freshman track squad at Michigan and served as football trainer under Fielding Yost. In the 1920s, Hahn became an assistant to Keene Fitzpatrick.
